... I have just been doing my piano impression on my desk for the benefit of my workmate (don't ask - it's Tuesday & we're bored). She guessed it was some creature from the Muppet Show until I revealed it was Bobby Crush in his velvet suit & dicky bow, trying to out-Mrs Mills Mrs Mills.

She just looked at me gone out. She's 24 and has no idea of who either of them are.

Don't some days just make you feel really old?

I'm only 40 bloody 6, not 86.
I remember watching Bobby on opportunity knocks (I was single-figured age) - he was as bent as a nine bob bit my nanna used to say, but always very cheerful.... good teeth and nimble fingers.
I wonder what happened to him?
Here's his website

ohmygod Mrs_O I got as far as clicking on the link, saw all the flashing pink and thought "no". Maybe another day when I'm feeling braver...

I thought you was gonna tell us Booby Crush was rogering Heather Mills .

When I was little we went to Blackpool on holiday and I was dragged (kicking & screaming) to a show on the pier, featuring Ken Dodd and Mrs Mills.

i still have nightmares.
I certainly do.

During most of her appearances she played two pianos (though not at the same time!).

She played a grand piano, but also had her "other" piano. This was a "honky-tonk" affair which, rumour has it, was bought in a junk shop for a few pounds. On this she played a lot of ragtime and boogie numbers.

Winfred was also the pianist for the theme tune of BBC's early snooker series "Pot Black" (which no doubt nobody else remembers either).
after opening that link i'm quite glad bobby crush passed me by.....

Oh gawd - I;m going to have to open that link at some time today aren't I?!!
Is it truly horrendous? Please prepare me.....
Another year on holiday at Blackpool (my parents had no imagination) we saw Two Ton Tessie O'Shea. She made Mrs Mills look positively anorexic. She too played the piano and I think she sang and danced (not a pretty sight) as well.
skip the intro for gawds sake skip the intro

and put you mouse over the menu as you move from item to item little stars come up.........
Just opened the link myself.

The intro is pure pub pianist!
