Hi can anyone please help I am rubbish with song lyrics, I am looking for an 80s song, I think it was by the police or a similar sounding band and I think the lyrics were "Why do I keep on talking in silence, Ive taken the chances im willing to take"

Robbiee sung some something similar but it was violence not silence...but that were mid 2000s not 1980s

I suppose the chorus sounds like Sting but he'd of been embarrassed to sing such a weedy sounding song

Sorry just checked the lyrics- it mentions 'violence' then your 'taken the chances' line then one with 'silence'.
Am pretty sure this is the one...presume you heard it maybe radio2 and just thought it sounded 80s.
Robby described it as cabaret reggae.. Dont think Bob Marley would of liked it
