hi i am trying to find out who gives the ship inn pub 347 high street rochester kent thier licence. they have made our lives hell for the past 5 years with extremely loud music till 2am and their loud customers who sit in the pub garden screaming and shouting. whenever we complain to the council the music goes down for a few weeks so no need to fill in diarys but as soon as the council write to us saying our complaint has been stop they then put their music back up, this has happened 4 times. please help as we cant even sleep in our own home, and as much as we love our flat we have been trying to move because of the pub

Did they build the pub there after you bought the flat then?

Your local council is responsible for pub licences. These need to be renewed regularly (annually, I think). You can formally object at the time of renewal.

that's your local council - it will be on there somewhere
erect some massive speakers at your windows and blast out opera or something at top blast, and also some other type off imposing loud music at the same time so its just noise

hopefully it will ruin their enjoyment of sitting in the beer garden and go back inside

you may have to miss some sleep for a while but they might get ther message...
Its the Environmental Health agency within your local council that will be responsible for this. I have had a similar problem and have had to have Sound recorders fitted into my flat for spells of two weeks to record all of the noise etc. My noisy neighbour was served with a Noise Abatement notice which seems to have down the trick.
