Her bob was iconic.
Question Author
it was tigger she was way ahead of her time
all sorts of nude photos of her on the internet, which is pretty unusual for someone of that era, but she wasn't fussed. She was lucky in that she lived a long time so she was able to write her own history. She was a good writer, too.

Where was the documentary?
Question Author
on d.v.d called looking for lulu
I'll look out for that, thanks zzxxee. I have a biography of her that is really interesting.

I've seen most of her films including a cowboy one she made with John Wayne late in her career - she'd lost the bob by then and was scratching around for work a bit.

its an old documentary narrated by shirlie maclaine, proper interviews with the lady herself .
I'll look out for it too. I read something about her in a book about legends some years ago. Interesting stuff.
Pandora's Box is an excellent film, and the DVD includes that documentary.
Question Author
one of my fav films bibble
Is she the actress that was rumoured to be 'friendly' with a dog?
I really did read that about some actress in the 1920's
Where ? How did I miss it ?
don't think so, Ric.ror. Don't know who it might have been, though. Lots of actresses took 'modelling' jobs while waiting to be discovered (still do) but I don't think she was one of them, though she did some legit modelling work as I remember..
