How was this done? I know the beginning was real but when he started beat boxing was this done with computer effects or a lookalike? Either way its cleverly done and really should've been used in December for maximum effect imo.

Lol.
Can't help as to how it was done apart from the obvious cgi., but very clever! And I agree it should've been aired nearer Christmas.
it's clever but it makes me cringe, it's like taking a classy singer and having them do a Michael Jackson song :o/
Me too Sara. I remember when they used footage of Steve McQueen to advertise the Ford Puma. People said it was wrong that his image was used as he wasn`t able to give his permission and wouldn`t have wanted to be cheapened in such a way (I did buy the car though)! I feel the same way about Bing Crosby in this ad.
I bet Bing is turning in his grave. Very clever, but watch out Frank.... you`re next.

I would say a lookalike. If you freeze frame at 0.03 and again at 0.10 - notice the spots on his bow-tie.

this answers everything, even the dots on the face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-BIZt5k0h8
I liked both the Steve McQueen and Gene Kelly ads, but really do not like the Bing one.
if you study it well it is a different man and holding the mike very very close his face

I think it demeans a great star and is a cheap shot at his expense.

And i'm not a Bing Crosby fan.
