does anyone ever wonder that i someone plays the same song over and over and over again, that the person may have some mental issues? I can remember playing Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now constantly on my stereo (a stereo is what we called the piece of technology that was around before Cds and after record players). However, that is a credible defence, what of someone plays a naff song from the 80s 100s of times a day?

or it could be that they are just irritating. when Mary Hopkin "Goodbye" came out as a single, I put it on repeat on my record player and fell asleep for an hour. My mother was going barmy but didn't know how to turn it off....
I think we had songs that motivated us. I can play anything by Meat Loaf all the time.
Are they doing it because they like it, or are they trying to wind you up?
Perhaps they've got it on a loop dot, it would be an awful fag to keep putting it on and pressing Go all the time (or don't they do it like that any more?)
The man hostage often plays a song over and over again if he particularly likes it... It doesn't really bother me much although I do end up humming them myself even if I don't particularly like them.

He's currenty playing a Queens of the Stone Age track for about the millionth time this week... awwww. (Luckily I quite like this one).

i've been doing this for years!! occasionally i have a tune i really like and i play it over and over.i've wondered if this is 'normal' . ..especially as recently i've had comments from my 4 yr old son that has made me think it's some sort of ocd thing. :O)

well jenarry i do think it does all depend on what it is you are playing over and over again, that';s the real clue.
When I was living in a college hall of residence, one of the girls on our corridor played Don McLean's 'American Pie' continuously throughout every day (and throughout most of every night) on her record player. (Er, do I need to explain 'record player' to younger people?). It might have been obsessive behaviour but it's probably more likely that it was the only record that she owned!

Either way, I still hate that song to this day!
I do the same with my Glee CD, it`s addictive
When I split from a boyfriend I plyed this till it was worn out LOL

i'm not sure dot. a lot of songs were just feel good songs but a more recent one is candy by paolo nutini . having gone thru a break up last year(although thats not why i liked the song -i just think it's beautiful) and my son quoting a line 'before i go' i've now stopped playing it.
