Does anyone remember the childrens program from the 1950s/1960s that had a little monster in it called
'Zooney'?   His catchphrase was "welcome hoooome". I think the programme may have been called 'Supercar'.

Close, it was actually 'Firerball XL5', from the same gerry Anderson stable that gave us 'Thunderbirds'. 'Stingray' and so on. Zooney was a 'Lazoon' (sp?) a furry creature from the moon, and a favourite of pilot Steve Zodiac, and Doctor Venus (a safe fantasy figure for pre-pubescent boys!) The feelings of Robert the robot are not advised.

And the entire series is available on DVD.

Supercar is coming out on DVD soon.
