I do not know if anyone has posted this already?

I set my recorder to record the Monday night repeat of Seven Ages of Britain.

But when I came to replay it, the whole length of the programme was taken up by the Winter Olympics.

Why does Sport take precedence over everything else?

Is it not time for the BBC and ITV to turn over one of their other channels to a Sports Channel?

You set the video to record a repeat so you could have set it to record on the first broadcast and then you mump about an event that happens once every four years. Perhaps you should make better use of the television pages so the same error is not made again. You can watch it on the BBC iPlayer
On ordinary BBC this programme was shown in its normal time slot last sunday, but the HD version was postponed til another day cos of the Olympics. I had the same prob

TCL-MUMPING

Can you not answer a perfectly reasonable question without being offensively aggressive?

You know nothing about why I could not record on the first broadcast..There was a perfectly valid reason why I couldn't record on the first showing.

/// You set the video to record a repeat ///

A little behind the times are you not?

I "Mumpted" as you put it (have you a strange fascination with this word TCL)?.

Because the particular event that only takes place once every four years, ruined my recording of an event, that is of more interest to me than watching others play in the snow.

I am quite aware that I can watch it on the BBC iPlayer, as you suggested, but I was more interested in recording it for future use.
"// You set the video to record a repeat ///

A little behind the times are you not?"

If you were with the times, would you not have been aware the repeat was not on?

"I Mumpted" (sic) as you put it (have you a strange fascination with this word TCL)?."

You seem to have a strange fascination about the words Islam, Muslim, Labour Party, and anything non-white or non-English.

"I am quite aware that I can watch it on the BBC iPlayer, as you suggested, but I was more interested in recording it for future use."

You'll be aware then that you can DOWNLOAD the programmes (or did you not know that?)
