Why doesn't AB Editor ban posts which are not in the appropriate categories! We are all over the place with TV Media questions in Chatterbank as well as food and drink etc, Keep Chatterbank for the trivial tittat and lets have answers for our particular questions! Everyone wants to post on Chatterbank as it most "viewed" but many elevant posts are missed because we don't try other categories!!

but what would lady s0ds like me do then? I can't be bothered to think which category i should post in, we can't all be so planned and organised, i get enough of that at work, can't you just go with the flow on this one? we have an ed who can't put up their own posts without making unforced errors, what about focusing on that for a while?
*lazy, though of course I am a lady

''we don't try other categories!!''

I find that remark rather insulting... I post my drivel all over the site...

Not everyone can be perfect all the time and mistakes do happen.
Is it not up to the person looking if they look in other topics or not?
If at first you dont suceed....try another topic!!!
Whils't it is clear into which category most postings on here should sit - it some times is the case that there isn't an obvious category for some posts .
Is this posting in the correct category then?
with respect, it cannot be too difficult to post in another topic area, stressful week or not, I never put the milk in the oven because I am too stressed to remember that it belongs in the fridge.

banning is too strong oscarina, in the olden times on AB the Ed used to remove the post and place it in the appropriate topic if there was not an appropriate area it stayed in chatterbank. there was also a not chattering rule on other threads, chattery replies that went off topic were removed
I always make the effort to post in the proper categories -just common courtesy following the Site Rules and making it easier for the Ed.
Crucially what are the other Topics there for? OK you might not get an instant response but then again I dont think i'm so important that I have to post in order to get same.I appreciate each and every poster who do respond to my queries outwith my 'playground' which is CB.Think it would serve some to remember thats all it is :)
There are other categories?
lol craft -CB is the first place i go to but when I have a serious Q I do always post it in the proper category -kinda guaranteed an answer from someone who does know what they are talking about not that CBers dont of course me being one!!!
Crossword queries are frequently posted under 'Quizzes & Puzzles' when there is a separate section for them.
Close tho Simon as theres a sub section.I have been known to just post on the header Topic also lol!!
Silly me, I always thought Chatterbank was for chatting about ANYTHING.
If all post were to go in their respective forums, what would people chat about on Chatterbank? Chatterbank will then remain void of chat.
let's just ban users who don't come back to their posts!

so irresponsible and uncaring..... :o/
