More Lies About Man-Made Global Warming
12 Answers
Coming hot on the heels of the 'Climategate' scandal a few weeks ago, we now find out that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has also been telling massive porkies too...

Too?
There are lies from the University of East Anglia - you seem to have forgotten what that story was about rather quickly!
This seems to have been a mistake in one small part of an analyisis - I don't read anything in these reports actually accuse anyone of lying
The Times makes a deal of his grant money but doesn't seem to have the evidence or the nerve to actually accuse him of lying.
They'd rather just right it in a way to get you all stoked up.
There are dozens and dozens of other measurements that prove the climate is changing - ground based and satelite.
Pretty much all the climate skeptics have given up trying to pretend that it's not happening and moved on to the "It's not our fault" line
I suggest you join them

Most of us sceptics are well aware that climate change has occurred over the aeons and that what is happening could be long-term or just a small blip.
The risible aspect to all of this is that is the environmentalists who blame human action for the changing climate are actually the ones who want to interfere with what is natural climate change just to keep it the way that humans have been used to for what has been just a very brief period in the Earth's history i.e. they want to do exactly what they accuse others of doing - and that is called hypocrisy.

Anything as massive as the Climate Change industry with such large amounts of money washing around, is bound to attract some unscrupulous people. It is good that they are being highlighted and found out. Hopefully, the desired outcome will be that the IPCC will be more vigorous in its fact checking in future.
However, the total sum of recent revelations does not amount to much. Mere chipping around the edges of a massive amount of verified evidence that man is contributing to Climate Change.
OK, so 1% of something is wrong or mistaken, that does not prove the other 99% is also wrong.

Absolutely. As an example consider the "snowball earth" period. Most species didn't survive but sure enough eventually something happened to bring the planet back to a more hospitable state and life started to expand again. That said, there is nothing special about the state where a planet is hospitable to life such that it can guarantee to return there. But once those pesky human types have gone it should be easier.
The global warming/climate change excuse is wheeled out to extract taxes from us. The earth is not stable, never has been never will be. One day it will destry itself, nothing any human can do about that.
Instead of all this panic and taxes perhaps we should accept what is happening, accept we cannot change it and start planning to deal with the situation like stop building on flood plains.
Also I get r4ather annoyed with the whole fossil fuel argument. Surely ther is a ready argument for dumping fossil fuels and that is pollution. Why not use that ?

Have they measured temperatures at different heights above the planet? A few years ago we had smog which killed people off in their thousands. This was blamed
on carbon emissions which hung around at ground level. This brought in the clean air act and smokeless zones which cured the problem. Carbon is heavier than air so that makes the present problem near or close to ground level I would think.
