Personally I'll miss David Tennant, but I missed Christopher Eccleston, Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee when the "regeneration" happened.
So ...this Matt Smith -hmm (strokes beard pensively).
I await with eager anticipa.....tion.

I'm looking forward to it, but mainly because I'm a huge fan of Steven Moffat...
each new actor who plays " the doctor " brings with him a new personality .

however i did enjoy david tennants performance and christopher eccleston in this role they both seemed to ring in humor and a little romance as well as the boyish charm.

this new actor i am afraid i have not seem his work so will have to wait and see.

i actualy enjoyed the spin off series torchwood and liked the way it was " slightly " intergrated . yet had a different view point on its plots.

i am supprised however that the " doctors daughter " did not seem to go anywhere as this would have opened more doors for more viewing.

guess im just a ski fi fan lol
Steven Moffatt saw something in Matt Smith that he wanted for The Doctor, so I have every confidence in his choice.
Matt Smith looks like a floppy-haired Eton boy. I suspect they've chosen him for the David Cameron era. As I gave up watching after William Hartnell, I don't suppose my opinion really counts.
