Does anyone know if these two actresses from emmerdale and wild at heart related. They sound alike and look alike

does anyone remember a dark comedy tv series, early 80s, set in new york, about a bloke (poss in media/advertising) who lived alone in a flat. On BBC2 I think, late at night. Quite a bit of sex involved. What was it called?

Is dawn Steele Lexie off Monarch of the Glen? cos if she is then when the new actress joined Emmerdale I put a question on here asking if it was lexie!!!

i thought the woman in emmerdale was Dawn Steele (i dont watch emmerdale but was channel flicking the other night and saw her quickly) !!!
and yes, dawn steele is lexie off monach of the glen :)
