I should have guessed that

You remember his australian trip when he cocked a steak on the engine of a Jeep

"cocked a steak" no wonder he isn't on the telly anymore.....you can get arrested for that !

Sorry I am Swedish

Did you see the swedish episode when he made (animals similar to lobster but smaller) (cancer in latin)

Man he was drunk adding more and more booze to the food

He's probably drunk himself into oblivion - although he's probably a very nice man.
He is a very nice man. My sister and I met him at his restaurant many years ago. He was a bit tipsy and his then wife, Sean took a photo of the 3 of us together. He signed a menu for us. We are easily pleased though!

Click http://www.aboutmytalk.com/t164870/s&.html for a web-page dealing with his drink-driving offence near Swindon just a week or two ago, as mentioned by Gee Bee above. Clearly, he still has what you refer to as 'a liking of wine'!

He's on "Full on Food" on BBC2 at 8pm tonight.

I used to work as a waitress in  his bistro in Bristol years and years and ............. ago.  He was exactly the same then as he appears to be now!  I think he's probably close to drowning in a butt of malmsey!
