my pal had his tv programmes from virgin cable
now he has got talktalk broadband &freeview
to day he got a letter from virgin asking for a months money
he hasbeen told now he getting progs from freeview
he does not have to pay virgin any more
does he have to tell them
if he does not paywillhe not get the progs from preview

If he is still subscribed to Virgin he will have to pay them. If he no longer requires the service from Virgin he must cancel it,he must read his contract with Virgin carefully because there will be a period of notice to give and if he signed up for a certain period of time will possibly have to pay the subscription up to that date.

A contract does not have to be signed. Accepting, paying and using a service is enough to form a legally binding contract. Virgin is entitled to its payment proper notice is given and the notice period is expired. If he is contract for a specified period of time he will be penalised if he cancels early.
