I want to buy webcams & headsets for my daughter and her boyfriend. He lives in London. When buying these items is it a case of "you get what you pay for". Is it worth paying extra for a quality picture and sound?

Not always we got a really expensive one which works no better than the one we got out of Tesco.

No, I got one from here for £4.75 it arrived in the post the next day, was very easy to set up (and I Know diddly squit about computers) and works great. it has a built in mic, there is no need for a headset as incoming sound comes trough the computer speakers, it even has automatic lights that come on if the light level is to low.
