How do moslems ever enjoy themselves without alcohol ? [A question on the lips of many an alcoholic!] They can't all be on cannabis. In truth , we made a big mistake a long time ago. They ban alcohol, a drug with unpleasant side-effects for users and bystanders, and one which is potentially addictive and fatal. They allow cannabis, which does not have such obvious bad effects and which is not , per se, addictive or fatal. Who is right?

They do not allow cannabis. All intoxicants are forbidden, which includes recreational drugs.
