Me and my best friend used to watch it all the time (even though we were about 14/15 at the time)  and she doesn't remember it at all. beginning to feel like I made it up!!! Is there anybody out there that watched it? What were the characters called??

I have vague recollections of this - I definitely watched it, but couldn't remember the names. According to one of Tony Robinson's unofficial fan sites, Fat Tulip's mate was callled Thin Tim

Wasn't there a character in it called Fred the Baddie?
I was only talkin about Fat Tulip the other day. No-one remembers it, so I'm chuffed to read that I wasn't goin senile at 41!! Can't remember the character names soz......Wasn't there a frog involved or am I mad!?!
Fat tulip did have a pal called Thin Tim and a dog called Dorian. I also recall frogs racing on hedgehogs. At one point I remember recording episodes by putting a tape by the tv but unfortunately these have gone.

Yes I remember it and I think I was in my 20s. There were two frogs I think, but I don't remember their names. I think it was the best childrens telly program ever. I would love to get the video
