My computer wants me to run this prog, where is it and how can i do it , I have windows XP thank you

scanning old photos, would cry if it went wrong

Open My Computer
Right click on the C drive and select properties
Select tools
Select Check now button under error checking
Tick the boxes if you want the disc repaired
Disc checking will run next time you restart your machine.

Either you can run this on command prompt. To run chkdisk

>Open the Run and type cmd, command prompt will open.
>In command tpye chkdsk and hit enter

Check Disk process will be open
