Does anyone remember a program back in the 70s called Night Gallery with spooky stories.... One that sticks in my mind is the guy who becomes entranced with a pastoral painting of a man fishing in a river, he makes a deal with the devil to be in that painting for ever...but show ends with him being in a painting of the crucifixion and he is christ.....the janitor had moved the painting ....anyone remember that show?

Yes, I saw a few episodes about ten years back on late-night ITV. Good scary stuff. The stories were introduced by Rod Serling in a dimly-lit gallery - every picture had a sinister story behind it. It was very much Twilight Zone-style, but a lot darker.

The one that made the most impression on me starred Leslie Nielsen as a snarling Colonel facing his fears in a haunted house - still gives me shivers now! I think it was called A Question of Fear, but maybe someone can set me straight.

There was a TV movie pilot that shows up on the Sci-Fi Channel every now and again - maybe the shows will follow...
