TV advert with cartoon giraffe

To settle a pub bet.... Does anyone remember a TV advert that featured a cartoon giraffe that walked around an empty town and then said "where is everybody" ? If so, was it a British Airways advert ? (actually I think there was a series of them with different animals).

I agree it was a BA ad. There was a giraffe, lion, monkey and hippo used in a series of ads that ran in the early 1980s. There was a slogan about getting places, i think. Does anyone else remember
