hubby's funny finger????

my hubby has been complaining that his little finger is puffed up, and you can notice the difference, it started itching on sunday and has since got bigger, he said this morning theres a dull ache in it now. we arent sure of the cause, and hes not signed up with a doc due to us moving. any ideas????

could be poison. could be gout.
Seriously - he should consult a doc if it doesn;t go away, or goes red. It doesn't matter if he's not registered with a surgery yet - just go along to any surgery and ask to be treated as a 'temporary resident' - all he will have to do is fill in a form & a doc (or practice nurse) will see him.

How old is he?
"Puffed up" but you don't mention pain.
Any history of trauma?

The itchyness is due to skin-stretch from swelling. Is it broken?
