In the sequence where Powers Boothe and Keith Carradine get to the Cajun village where there is a dance in progress, there are a number of old time cajun musicians, including, I think Dewey Balfa. You can find Balfa Brothers stuff on most Cajun compilation CDs, usually sub-titled "24 Stomps from the Swamps". The haunting background music featured throughout the film was by Ry Cooder.
I love this film, and you probably know this, but the Ry Cooder music to this film is available on 'Music By' a compilation of Ry's soundtrack work. It wasn't available for years. Just thought I'd tell you!
