1970s Kids Animal Programme

I'm looking for the name of a 1970s UK children's animal/nature programme which had a theme tune which was made up just of animal noises and wooden (jungle?) instruments. No idea of the channel or presenters, just the intro - very difficult to describe - sort of CHKCHKACHKCHKACHK with the odd bird whistle in between :-)
Not animal kwackers, not HOW or any of the well known programmes. Any ideas? Drives me mad because it won't go out of my head.

Not daktari, sorry.
It didn't have a story line - it was a bit like Animal Magic with different animals every week from what I remember.
