Youtube won't multi upload

I don't understand this at all -Youtube will only read my memory card reader for a single upload -it won't recognise files for a multi upload(I do have it installed) -it displays only folders but none of the files - and yet bizarrely when i switch to single upload the files reappear!!
Tried different browsers - same problem
I then copied files onto my PC instead to upload from there......but multi upload STILL doesn't see them -wtf???
There are no error messages at all
