Intruder Alarm - battery replacement

When there is a power cut my Intruder Alarm sounds. I fitted a new back-up battery recently so I am wondering if there is a battery in the outside box which will need replacing.

there is a back-up battery in the bell box,but it's part of an anti tamper circuit.If any one was to cut the connecton between the control panel and the box the alarm would sound.It may well need replacing,depends how long its been installed.but its doubtful it is the cause of your problem

Not every bell box has a back-up battery.
They should be changed every 5 years.
