I don't want to sound to cynical, but don't tell me the panel just happened to asks the young lad who sang why he decided to take up singing by chance. He was apparently bullied.
Its obvious there was a reason because they only ask contestants who they know beforehand have some talent plus a sad story.

It was the same last year, where contestants had all sorts of tear jerking stories to tell us why they wanted to win.
I don't blame them, I blame the TV people who overshadow the contestants who have real talent and no sad stories to tell.

I agree. I think that personal lives of contestants shouldn't come into the equation and they should just come out and perform so that they can't be then criticised for getting the 'sympathy vote'. I suppose it makes good television (?)
I totally agree. Apparently there's someone on next week singing for her (poorly/dieing/whatever) babies.

I personally would boot these people off straight away. It's supposed to be a talent show not a "feel sorry for me and put me through" show.
Just dont waste your money voting simple as
or vote for who you think is the better performer, regardless of who has the saddest life story.

As if winning a talent contest would prevent someone being bullied, sadly it wont. It crtainly shouldnt be used as a means to promote them either.
It's always 'the very last person' they see as well who has all the talent. It's just so orchestrated and false. I still watch it though!!

4getmenot,

Its not at the phone-in stage yet for wasting money.
PS I liked the dog best!
lol lofty, not much else to do round your way though is there?

I have to say i saw the boy signing and couldnt stand the noise, it really set my teeth on edge for some reason.
I've got to agree. It was just a high pitched squeal.
They might very well ask each contestant about themselves.Dont forget the show is edited.
I know but hey anyone with real talent shouldnt be going on this show in first place :-)
signing = singing. lol signing wouldnt have been so noisy though.

Glad i wasnt only one thinking like that though
I missed the dog, what was that?
The dog was the best act on there. It was dancing about, walking and jumping in time to the music with its owner. Really talented. Although the black lad singing did make me laugh.
I can dance and walk about in time to music
