Ok have sauid I'd babysit for a friend tonight as she is going to a charity do, Il;m going for tea first, and she has just txt saying 'you still on for tonight? My mate coming round with her littln for tea and she might be going to do later with me'. That to me means I am now looking after her mates girl too, what would you do, I don't mind it just seems quite cheeky.

Tell her you are not going to be responsible for someone elses child too! The bl00dy cheek of some people eh?
Sounds a tad presumptuous to me , did she not ask you first before TELLING you ? Cheek alright , and it's put you in an place where you feel you can't say a downright no .
On the more positive side for you however , it's not the childs doing and she may be good company for the other little girl and give you a bit less entertaining to do.
do you know the mate and her girl?, not sure i'd be happy looking after some-ones kid if i didn't know them! bit blo0dy cheeky n all
4get - Text her back and get the right information. Ask is her friend going taking her child with her ( even if you think she isn't ) If she isn't & it's how you thought, tell her you are not prepared to mind two children. You are not being awkward, you are standing up for yourself! xxx
what a cheek!

i wouldn't want to look after a strangers child. but i do agree with mamma, the kids may just entertain themselves!
I would let the kids run riot!!

Draw on the walls!

Let them try on Mummy's clothes & makeup!!

Let them cook something and don't clear up after them!!

You won't be asked again!! Lol.

No she didnt ask and I have just said erm is child going with you, and then she has just replied saying well I wasnt sure but the mother might not go and stay with you, so then Ive said well whats the point of me babysitting, the friend can look after her own child and my mates.
tell them that you need to be on standby elsewhere, just in case lol

Believe me I can handle two kids but its just the cheek of it in not asking me first. I have met the little girl a couple of times and I guess the mother knows I can be trusted with children
How old are the children concerned? If it is two babies or two toddlers then I think you would need to think real hard whether you could cope.
I don't know about other mums but I would not want to leave my child in the care of someone I didn't know(never met?) even if a good friend said they were ok.

Oh , that's another thing , I would think the fiend of your friend could then look after both children I agree , you certainly don't want to have to babysit 2 children and entertain a stranger as well .
5 isn't too bad, they could be controlled/entertained fairly easily, they also understand instructions and reasoning at that age. I still think its cheeky of your mate to assume though.
Lol@fiend ......friend *
