Does anyone know why Kris left `My Family` TV series? It`s not as funny without him, although still very good.

I think I remember reading somewhere that he didn't want to be typecast as that character and wanted to be able to venture into other different roles.

Your right "My Family" isn't as funny without him in.

To me, he was the central character in My Family - other really good actors and characters, but never has been as good since he left.
