Does anyone know what the title of the music that plays occasionally on BBC that is in a nightclub with a crowd jumping up and down. They have used it for several months. I last saw it on Thursday 22nd June.

That'll be the "festival" version of the BBC ONE Theme, written specially for the BBC by Peter Lawler. The use of the colour red and the fact that it's the same basic tune as all their other channel idents, is supposed to build a strong brand image for BBC1, but it doesn't look like it's worked. Anyway, it's not commercially available, but a soundalike cover version (or as we used to say in the old days, cash-in) by State One titled "Forever And A Day", is.
They have a number of different themes -one uses what looks like the cast of Stomp (young men tap dancing), another uses Indian dancers and so on. All of them have the exact same basic tune including the one you have referred to - just different 'remixes'.
The one with the tap dancers is actually the *other* young male dance troupe, Tap Dogs - not Stomp.

Thanks for the quick responses. I've played Forever and a Day but don't recognise any part of it from the advert but you only hear it for a few seconds anyway. Good tune though :)

I stand humbly corrected. Just got another remix of it and there was the tune clear as a bell. Thanks very much Jenstar :)
