how did Naomi know who desmond was?

How does anyone know anything on LOST!!!! I love the show and all the twists and turns but have only just been able to watch season 3 when I got the boxset for Xmas and I don't have satellite tv. How does Penny know where to search for Desmond is another question and how sad is it that Charlie won't be in it anymore except for flash backs, visions and dreams.

If you want to discuss theories I'm all ears! I think Naomi is with the Others otherwise why was the Russian so willing to give her medical aid. and how does he keep surviving?

I reckon Naomi knew to ask for Desmond cos her people had been intercepting Penny's radio attempts to find him - and it would be a good excuse to be accepted on the island.

I just love that we don't know the answers to everything! The Russian who refuses to die is fantastic - when he came running out of the jungle I was gobsmacked.......I LOVE LOST!!!!
