only caught the first half of last nights episode of silent witness. what happened in the second half, after the news???????

i tuned in about half way through and it only just much sense, manning killed himself (the black officer) but then it turned out that he hadn't really killed himself he'd been murdered too. The original killing (of michael) had been done by the artist woman's husband, he couldn't live with the guilt becuase they actually weren't having an affair and killed himself too. Then from what i understand, manning/alex (the chief man's son) and this other police cadet (a tall one) had ALL killed Jason and made it look like a copy cat but it wasn't very good. BAsically it turned out that alex had killed manning then as well and made it look like suicide but i don't know why, he admitted it and said he'd acted alone so give the tall PC another chance.

Thanks becks, a bit complicated then!!!! ps. what about the girl whose husband died with all the puncture holes - nothing to do with the storyline?!?!?! i'm confused

The chap with the 'puncture marks' was indeed a sub plot. When they did tests on what was in his blood stream when he died it was full of some medical drug. It turned out that his wife (who was a paediatrition)had been writing prescriptions for him (a big no -no). The young geezer, who she asked to perform the post mortem, had to make a decision about whether to destroy one of the prescriptions he had found, or report it and end her career. He chose to give her the benefit of the doubt. Oh and he sh*gged her as well!

so she was a killer too! Phew gee whizz!

Only by accident I suppose. She was only providing the prescriprtions for the drug on which he eventually overdosed.
