Does anyone know the origins of the 'Woo-hoo' music used in the ad - and if it's planned for a release?

it's from Kill Bill soundtrack.... I believe the band is a japanese band called the Woo Hoo-The 5.6.7.8's go to: http://www2.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails

yep the band is called 'the 5 6 7 8's' and the song is 'woo hoo'. they are a 3 piece band. very good.
