who is watching (or if answered at a later time) has watched "Where Eagles Dare" on Ch5 now, when you probably watched it only a few months ago.

Iam guilty of this fact, and I even have it on DVD.

"Broad Sword calling Danny Boy, come in Danny Boy"

Or am I just a tad sad?

No Shadow Man you are not sad. We are watching also...Good film....Good acting.... Good plot...Good filming what more could you ask for.
Colonel Wyatt-Turner:
Now you're guessing, Smith

Major John Smith:
No guesswork, Colonel. You pointing that gun at me is enough evidence... you ARE pointing it at me, aren't you?

saw it in its year of release (with a parent - it was an "A" when kids had to be accompanied) - still a great film.
I'm not, but I'm recording it to watch tomorrow. And I've only seen it 7 or 8 times already....
its one of those films that i always look back on with fondness as i remember first watching and loving it as a small boy.
I must have seen it numerous times . Brilliant film .
I remember going to see it when it was first released at cinema .I love the bit in the cable car.Richard Burton was wonderful ....his voice ...we used to listen to him at school reading Shakespeare ..mesmerising !
I sat through nearly four hours of Gone with the Wind on DVD the other day....now that is sad !
It's one of those films that I too will watch over and over again .

I always feel sorry for that bloke in the cable car , when he realises he is going to fall - the look on his face .
