Day O
aw Leon is a top film :)

everyone will prolly think im sick for this but theres a bit in Man Bites Dog where the serial killer is about to shoot an old lady and she has a heart attack (I think, I've only seen the film once) the guy says something like 'ahh that saved a bullet' the film is a black comedy though lol
oops meant to add.,... I was laughing my head off
Andrea, I can't see any of these links - what is it?! I just get a big blank space!
Sorry Natalie ; - ) it's the bit in beetlejuice where they are at the dinner table and start singing

Day -O, Day - O Daylight come and me want to go home!
Beetlejuice!!! brilliant :D
Nice rendition, thanks :-) lol
Natalie my singing voice is terrible but my typing one is fab!

I love silly films though! Meet the parents is good as well - what about the bit about him milking a cat????
Or in Meet the Fockers when the two dad's start fighting in front of the bus - makes me laugh so much each time! Dustin Hoffman does the Brazlian dance fighting or something (in real life I have a friend who practices it - it's called capoeira!)
I agree with Shawshank Redemption, the end bit, but I also love the bit where he throws the stone carvings round the room and one just pops through the....(spoiler alert!!)

As for The Color Purple natalie - that bit makes me weep buckets too. I had it on an old video and refused to tape over that little snippet!

Another great one is at the end of Billy Elliot where his hard-man dad sees Billy make his dramatic entrance as the swan on stage. He catches his breath and sort of gasps, and it's as though he finally 'gets' Billy's passion for dance. I've watched that bit over and over, and I think for a tiny, word-free scene, it's so powerful, and looks very genuine.

(I sob at that too...)
No I've decided, this is it, my ultamate bit!

I love It's a wonderful life, but the ending gets me everytime! "My teacher says, every time you hear a bell ring an angel gets his wings!"

Ahhhh I could cry now, or is that my pregnancy hormones?

Wonderful life - Ending
And this cracks me up too, even though I'm not normally a huge Jim Carrey fan..... You have to watch it right through - the best bit's the last bit!

Thanks guys, if you didn't get stars it's because I havn't seen the film,

Leg end, I havn't seen true romance but it's now on the top of my 'must see' list thanks for the links

Andrea, "It's a Wonderful Life" makes the old 4GS eyes go all watery at the end, and I'd almost forgot the "Day O" scene, my jaw aches now with laughter,

I have two:

Jerry MaGuire when Renee Zellwegger says to Tom Cruise "You had me at hello" makes me go to mush

and The Wedding Singer when Adam Sandler sings "I wanna grow old with you" to Drew Barrymore :o)
The 'speech' scene from Scent of a Woman always sends a shiver down my spine.Al Pacino is bleedin' brilliant in this film!
