old tv series of psychic investigators

Facts are vague, but what I remember is a group of people with different psychic abilities living together in a chateau-type place, lead by a French man. They'd investigate crimes, etc each week. What was it called???

Could it be Poltergeist - The Legacy starring Derek De Lint? I don't think any of them were psychic,but they investigated the paranormal and they lived in a sort of stately home in,I think,San Francisco.IMDb and www.epguides.com should have guides to this series.

Was it 'The Others'? Strange series, ended with everyone dying. Still not sure what was going on.
