I mIssed the first few minutes due to my female companion fannying around, can anyone descibe what happens in the first few minutes up to the point when it begins the story when Evan is 7 years old.....I'm just hoping I didn't miss anything crucial.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, very Donnie Darko in some ways but that's no bad thing. I think the start was something to do with his journals but I never worked out whether it was Evan or his dad as I was trying to locate my seat! D'oh

I thoroughly enjoyed it too, the best film I've seen at the cinema in a while.

It was Evan writing in his journal under the desk, the same place where he watches the cine-film you see him doing at the end of the film. However, I think the dialogue is slightly different, and I'm not sure how obvious it is. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

Yeah it's very Donnie Darko, but I thought it was more like the work of the directors. I believe they wrote Final Destination 2, and the idea of changing the course of nature is a trait of theirs.
