I'm watching an old Doctor Who episode from the early eighties. Why oh why do these funny horizontal lines go across the screen whenever anyone fires an automatic weapon. My common sense tells me it is somehing to do with the sound waves the guns produce affecting the camera equipment in some way. Is this right or could someone enlighten me?
