I bought a fuschia last year which did very well. It's now beginning to come back again after the cold snap and I've noticed some of the laves don't grow at the ends of the branches, but on the joints where other branches grow out. Should I cut down to where it is budding and the leaves are growing or should I just leave it and trust it?

this is normal - best to cut back to where it is budding about 2 buds from main stem and when side shoots grow to 3 or 4 buds, cut back to 2 again for a bushy and sturdier plant
hope this helps
