Wrong address with postcode online!

When I need to input my address online (eg for an insurance quote), I am often asked to input the postcode.
I am then asked to select an address from the list given, which includes my address, but with an error in it. I assume this is all on a database somewhere.
Does anyone know how I can get this directed, please?

Is the error a spelling mistake or something like a county being stated incorrectly? The reason that I ask is that most databases of this sort pull up the Royal Mails preferred address format so if it's just different from how you write it, it could be you who's doing it wrongly! But I'm sure that isn't the case - may help if we knew more about the mistake. Otherwise, only thing I can suggest is to look at

my links never work :-(
Check the royal mail, all the other drive the address from that, if it's correct on the mail site then it's probably a software glich at the insurance co

When I do this, my door number is always missing!!
My neighbours are there, weird isn't it?
I have just done Heathfield's link, and nothing comes up.
