Coronation Street. Strange white zeds.

When Corrie starts and they're showing the roof shots (accompanied by that lovely music) there's a shot with a bloke in denims walking down the street. If you look at the roof to his right there are white Z shape things, about 5 in all, not sure if they're protruding from the roof or painted on the road. Anybody any idea what they are?

Thanks Dobermanngal, makes sense but a strange looking aerial tho' . Never seen any thing like it. I'll be equally sad and record, freeze frame it on Sunday.
