Can anybody recommend good, gory horror movies, preferably slightly modern.

I have, Cabin Fever, The Hills Have Eyes, Descent, Hostel, Audition, Ichi the Killer, and all Final Destinations.

Any others?

your missing the greatest of all nasty horror films SAW!!! xx
Good god man you're missing out some greats!
Definitely go for Feast! It was released last year and is amazing-ly gory.
If you don't mind subtitles, try Three..Extremes
Or quite alot of director Takeshi Miike movies ( he directed Audition and also played a quick cameo in Hostel )

High Tension is a french movie by the guy who directed The Hills Have Eyes

Last House On The Left is quite an old movie but is a tad gory

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning is quite pointlessly nasty in places

Wolf Creek is nasty.

Hmm. That's a few anyway!

Switchblade Romance and Nightmare on Elm Street.

reeker
Dawn of the dead remake....Creep...and one i saw a long time ago Deathline. way ahead of its time!
I am not a fan of horror films but Wolf Creek was very good and very nasty.

I have death line. Fantastic movie and donald Pleasants best ever performance.

Reeker looks good (just searched it)
Nooo! Reeker is terrible! It goes by the complete standard horror movie structure and it isn't even messy =[

FEAST! Feast is totally where it's at.
I prefer terror to horror, but Feast was great fun! I don't know if I would have liked it so much if I hadn't seen the Project Greenlight series, but I did enjoy the over-the-top gore, a la Evil Dead. Beer Guy was particularly revolting. It's nice to see that actor doing so well on the new series "30 Rock."

From the 1970s: Dario Argento's "Suspiria" (lovely vivid colors) and "I Spit on Your Grave." The latter maybe isn't technically considered a horror film, but the gore is extreme and unrelenting.
Switchblade Romance was on Film Four about 2 weeks ago and maybe repeated in the near future.
That's where I saw it Starrs.

If you want over the top gore how about Braindead?
It's not shocking or scarey, it's more tongue in cheek silly. Still a good movie though.
i love the chucky films, i think they're really gruesome.

yes I can recommend three well-known Hollywood horror films that were probably accessible with Hindi dubbing or subtitles:

Of course! Outstanding Asian horror films are widely recognized for their unique stories, suspenseful atmospheres, and cultural influences. Here are three suggestions and explanations for why you need to watch them.

Ringu (1998) - Japan

The cursed videotape at the center of the narrative sets off a horrifying chain of events. The movie is well-known for Sadako, the iconic ghostly appearance, and its gloomy atmosphere and psychological horror.

The Wailing (2016)

The Wailing" is a gripping and intense horror mystery. The movie explores a small village plagued by a mysterious illness and a series of murders. It weaves elements of folk horror and supernatural elements with an intricate plot, leaving viewers in suspense until the very end.

Ju-On: The Grudge (2002)

Part of the Ju-On series, "Ju-On: The Grudge," is renowned for its creepy atmosphere. The video narrates a non-linear tale of a curse that anyone comes into contact with it is possessed by evil spirits. It stands out in the J-horror genre thanks to its broken narrative and unsettling moments.
