28ac rivulet
26D Uvea.
15D Stain.
The uvea is an eye-part and 'sin' around 'at' backwards.
Can't think of anything but Eden for 3d - but would love someone to explain the clue???!
Theres probably a more elaborate explanation, but the only reason I can see for 'EDEN', after looking at the clue for 20 minutes, is that we take the last letter of 'the' and add it to the last letters of 'garden', giving 'eden'. The last letters are where the two words 'leave off', as it were. Sounds a bit pathertic, I admit, but what the hey!
is E ever used as an abbreviation for Exeunt?
Den, as a verb, means "to retire to a den"

Thank you all very much ..much appreciated .
Hmmm, not convinced - and Saga clues tend to be sound. As you say, what the hey...
I thought this clue was familiar - it was discussed on 2/1/07. According to lloyd1e, the actual clue is Two ways to leave the country garden - Sweden less S and W = Eden
