Best episode in your opinion? Mine has to be 'The last temptation of Homer', where Homer falls for a female co-worker (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) whose bad habits mirror his.

The one which is a sort of parody of 101 Dalmations where Burns wants a puppy coat and he sings "See my vest, see my vest made from real gorilla chest...See my loafers, former gophers" etc.
Just that bit kills me everytime.
And the one where Troy McClure does the Planet Of The Apes musical.

Yeah. I'd say that was in my top ten.

"I hate every ape I see, from Chimpan A to Chimpan Z"

Excellent stuff.
What do you think of Futurama?
I like the one where Bart pinches Homer's loose change jar and escapes with it, Indiana Jones style.

I like Futurama a lot. Fav episode is the 'Slurm Factory' one where they find out how it's made. Still prefer the Simpsons though. It has something for eveyone. HOWEVER, I think the latest episiodes have 'jumped the shark'. I think it was at it's peak throughout the early 90's. Before the sad demise of Phil Hartman.
The 'X-Files' one.

Re Homer running on the treadmill...

......'It's like a lava lamp!'

And so many more I couldn't mention them all.
There are so many damnit.

Possibly "Trash of the Titans"...Season 7 also seemed to be pretty good...
It seems that lots people just don't like Futurama,. Maybe they do expect it to be more like the Simpsons but I am a true convert. True that some episodes are a little weak but I have actually cried tears of sadness in a couple of the more poignant episodes.
With the Simpsons, however sad or hard times are you just know it'll end on a perky note.
The episode of Futurama where Fry finds the fossilised remains of his dog and decides against reviving him is one of the saddest final sequences of anything I have ever seen.
It's a postive Watership Down style howling moment.
So many good ones, but my favourite is probably Supercalifragilisticexpiali-D'oh-cious, the one with Shary Bobbins in, superb!
I agree with rhona_j.. It has to be the x-files episode

Homer - You dont see any Homer is a dope T-Shirts
Man behind stall - We sold all those ages ago
(Marge comes in wearing one)
Homer - Marge!! How could you?
Marge - They're 100% pure cotton and look at the fine stitching on the word "Dope"

I can't remeber the episode, but the scene that has always killed me is at the very end of the episode where Homer and Marge are cuddled up in bed, and she thinks he's about to say something romantic.

H. Well, there's one thing his (Mr. Burns) money can't buy.
M What's that Homey?
H. A dinosuar!

Love it to bits.
