haha,
soozmac, I take it you're not a big fan of Lostprophets then?:p
Not my cup of tea and he smells of wee!
nah, can't stand all the shouty screechy nonsense which Kerrang is full of. I mean, shouty and screechy is good, but in key would be nice! And what's with bands having 2 types of singers at the same time? The Automatic's song is a fine example of that. I flicked through Kerrang a couple of months ago, and saw an article "Where to start with Guns n Roses." That made me feel old. But the difference is, Appetite for Destruction will still be in best seller lists in 100 years. Bands like LP, MCR and their ilk will not stand the test of time. Emo kids should realise that, by hanging around in groups of 20 and all looking exactly the same, they're losing their individuality. They stare at passers-by to get a reaction, and I think "F*ck off, you little brat, I was listening to Megadeth before you were even born. Just because now I have a job and can't rock up Monday to Friday doesn't mean you intimidate or in any way scare me."

I'm 31.
sorry, that was all a bit intense, wasn't it? Didn't realise I was ranting so much.

In short, Matt Bellamy yay! Trent Reznor double yay! Lost Prophets boo!

haha, yes indeed, that was a slight rant there soozmac! :p

I don't know, I mean MCR have actually been around for a while, yet no-one actually knew who they were up until afew months ago...
I'm probably more like one of these "emo kids" you talk about.... but I do most definately have a thing for muse....
Couldnt agree more soozmac you put it very well and wrote what i and countless others probably think. I can remember when Kerrang was a proper mag for proper metal bands and not the tripe that is churned out by the bucket load these days.
don't get me wrong, I would rather see a group of emos than a group of neds (chavs). Silversky, you say you are emo, but recently you're discovered Muse. That's brilliant! I've been listening to them since their debut came out, and still love them.

The one good thing about Emo is that it will eventually lead the fans to great music, just not made by the bands which they're listening to at the moment....
The man is sex on a stick. I'm with you on this one!!
