DVD region change

I need to change my dvd drive back to region 2 from region1. Each time i try i get a warning saying "unable to update region setting. Please make sure the drive contains a region 2 media and you have administration privelige". Can anyone help please? (I have windows xp)

My computer keeps trying to predict what I'm going to type!
