I always like these kinds of shows but can never stay awake long enough to get past no. 30.

Does anybody remember who the top 10 were? The order isn't important (but it would be a great if you could remember).

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I can't check that at the moment because my employers have put a block on most of the Internet but I'll have a look on there when I get home.
1 RADIOHEAD - OK Computer
2 U2 - The Joshua Tree
3 NIRVANA - Nevermind
4 MICHAEL JACKSON - Thriller
5 PINK FLOYD - Dark Side of the Moon
6 OASIS - Definitely Maybe
7 THE BEATLES - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
8 MADONNA - Like a Prayer
9 GUNS N' ROSES - Appetite For Destruction
10 THE BEATLES - Revolver
Personally I got to 44 before turning over, however I have seen this before.

I think the problem with these things is modern/recent stuff tends to get a much better looking than it deserves.
What I cant undertand why OK Computer by Radiohead gets #1 spot. Theres no doubt its a very good album from a very good band. But did it change the face of music like Sgt Peppers, Never Mind The ******** or Nevermind? Did it sell as many as Dark Side of The Moon or have the mass commercial appeal as Thriller? Does it as deep a rooted place in the British music psyche as Definetely Maybe has?
Can somebody please explain?
Supermurph - I agree, not sure how that got to No 1 - for me it is music to 'slit your wrists' too - maybe a lot of 'would be suicide victims' voted!!! It certainly didn't change the face of music!!
Personally I'm not surprised that Ok Computer got to number 1. It is one of these 'alien' albums in the musical landscape: very experimental, very intemporal, still sounding as fresh and new as it did ten years ago. It was the most original and poetic album I had ever heard when it was released, and is still one of my favorites. Whatever you can say, Ok Computer is a classic in its own right, and Radiohead is cited as influence by countless bands which appeared on the rock scene in the last decade. It did change the face of music: this will probably become more obvious as years go by. I voted for it - and I am not a 'would be suicide victim' (nice judgemental and absurd stereotype), just a music geek with an open mind and a bit of taste.
what happened to gary numans telekon album, biggest selling album of 1980,,,,,,,i agree with ok computer, though

That list is pure nonsense ... IMHO
What i would like to know is when the votes are cast can you vote for any album or is there a list that you have to choose from? Im surprised that Ok Computer was number 1 , definately top 10 but i thought it would be between the Beatles and the Mighty Floyd! Hopefully with the Floyd winning as they are superior to the Beatles in my opinion!
