Spaceballs was a spoof of Star Wars but I think it was a bit later (Mid to late 80s)

I wasn't Spaceballs ( what a brilliant film though ). It was supposed to be a serious film I think the one I am trying to find. There was two main hero's. The baddies were kind of like the robots out of the Blackhole film.

Could it be Battlestar Galactica you are thinking of ? There was a tv series and also a movie.

I've just found it!! It's called Starcrash... Just got to find it on DVD now.

Theres 2 sellers just now on ebay selling this movie but it's only on video.
