I just happened upon this show tonight, and I'm so glad I did. Brilliantly send-up of the Beckhams' story, and I can't wait for George Michael next week or the DVD of the series to be released. Not only does this knock Rick Gervais's Extras into a cocked hat, it's definitely one of the cleverest, funniest and most original comedies I've ever seen. Absolutely loved it. Did you?

It was the funniest thing i've seen on tv for a long time!!!! Who is the guy who plays george michael and what has he been in before, its really gettin on my nerves. Somebody please help!
Didn't manage to see it, but it's from the makers of Peep Show, so I'm not surprised it's brilliant.
I loved it too. Must admit I'd seen the trailers on TV and thought it looked cr*p but my bf wanted to watch it and so I sat down with him - laughed my ass off!! can't wait for next week
you not seen many comedies then? rock profiles anyone? matt lucas and david walliams early project did this far better. And it also feels like a bo selecta style **** take without the silly mask in the fact its **** take of celebrity and publics fasicination by making up extreme stories etc. Its funny yes, original nooooo
The info for George Micheal is:
STAR STORIES 2/6: George Michael: Watch without Prejudice Vol. 1
September 22nd Channel 4

From the makers of the award-winning Peep Show comes Star Stories , a
new comedy series that gleefully presses its nose against the steamy
window of fame. Recreating the bust-ups, love-ins and fall-outs of
major
league celebrities, Star Stories is a hilarious romp through the
stories
behind the tabloid splashes. George Michael (Kevin Bishop) acts as
guide
and reveals the "truth" about his life, loves, music and rivalry with
Boy George (Steve Edge). How did Andrew Ridgley (Rhys Thomas) give
him
the confidence to form WHAM? How did he get along with his other Live
Aid artists and why does he have so many car crashes? What part did
Elton John (Matt King) play in his success? What did George do for
those
five silent and desolate years? And how did a chance encounter in a
public toilet finally make him realise he was a bit gay?

The cast include Matt King, Kevin Bishop, Daisy Beaumont, Olly
Maltman,
Laura Patch, Alice Lowe and Harry Peacock.

Star Stories will raise laughs and ruffle feathers in equal measure.
Celebrities beware!
