is it possible to have sky in one room and freeview in another room all in one house?

We want to sign up but have it only in the sitting room, but i dont want just 5 channels in my room can i keep my freeview?

Yes, we have Sky downstairs and freeview upstairs.

Your upstairs TV needs to have an outside ariel for the freeview to work.
You could try getting something called a rabbit box - a friend of mine has one (not sure where they got it from) and basically it picks up the sky signal so that you can have sky in the bedroom aswell as downstairs without having to sign up to sky multiroom. You may need to do some more research on this though
we dont have an outside airel so when I got sky plus put in I asked the guy to connect my old sky box to the dish and put it in my sons room. I gave him a tenner for it. Sky boxes show freeview for free so if you konw someone with an old one you can use it. Dont phone sky for an engineer though get someone out your local paper its much cheaper. Also try and get a box from someone local we get scottish tv but my son gets granada coz his box came from manchester how weird is that???
