Which currently showiing film can you recommend for a visit to the pictures? Would I understand Xmen 2 without seeing 1 first? Please exclude I capture the Castle as I've just seen it.

I couldn't remember a thing about the first X-Men when I saw the second, and I enjoyed it as much as anyone, so I still recommend watching it. Johnny English is brilliant, and The Matrix: Reloaded comes out on the 23rd of May...probably worth pre-ordering tickets for that. But as for currently out films, of the ones I've seem, only Johnny English and and X-Men were good.
Welcome to Colinwood is good, George Clooney only appears in the film for about 10 mins in total so the film completely belongs to other actors.
Just in cse Johnny English doesn't tickle your fancy, here's two (shock! horror!) foreign languaage films that I really enjoyed:- Russian Ark (from Russia, not surprisingly, the most amazing experience: 300 years of Russian history, a guided tour of the Winter Palace and all done in one take... all without being dull or worthy) and Elling (a Norwegian comedy -- honest! -- with a very gentle feel to it).
Not quite what you was asking, but Red Dragon starring Anthony Hopkins was released on video today. This is the first of the Hannibal Lecter trilogy and well worth seeing. (watched it today -------- v.good)
